IOLA, Kan. — The Iola Area Chamber of Commerce has put out a scam alert.
Executive Director Kelly Sigg said a company identifying themselves as UAC, calling from a 563 area code, has been contacting individuals claiming to be working with the Iola Area Chamber to update a “City Guide.”
The Chamber is not currently working with any outside company to update or distribute. A city guide. If you get one of these calls, don’t give them any personal or business information.
The 563 area code is assigned to part of eastern Iowa and includes the Iowa side of the Quad Cities including Davenport up to Dubuque.
