“Kelly brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective, and I am confident that under her leadership, the Iola Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism will continue to grow and prosper,” Schallie said.
Schallie shared that she has been grateful for the support, trust, and friendship she has received during her time as Executive Director.
“As I embark on this new chapter of my life, I look forward to staying connected and witnessing the continued success of the Iola Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism,” she added. “Thank you for making my time here so rewarding. It has been an honor to serve as your Executive Director and I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such talented and resolute individuals.”
Sigg also addressed the Chamber and Tourism members, stating she is excited and thankful for the opportunity to be selected as the new Executive Director.
“I know most of you know me, but I am anxious to get to know you better and have the opportunity to work beside you to grow and create new ways to make Iola shine while maintaining all of the great things Robin has done for our community during her tenure,” Sigg said.
In the letter, Sigg also addressed that she hopes extending office hours and being open on Fridays will give the Chamber more opportunities to help assist those traveling through or spending time in the Iola area.
“I am quickly finding out just how many resources the Chamber does have to share knowledge, advice, and information to both locals and travelers,” she added. “I love being involved in all things Iola and this position truly feeds my soul.”
Sigg expressed that in her time away from Audacious Boutique, she realized she missed collaborating with and cheering on other businesses.
“And the pride you feel when someone walks through the door and comments on our beautiful square, our gorgeous downtown buildings, and the quaintness of our little town,” Sigg added. “I am so grateful for this opportunity and I look forward to this next chapter as your Chamber Director.”
