(March 6, 2026) — The search continues for missing 15-year-old Lia Seely. Yates Center Police reported Friday afternoon law enforcement has made contact with someone known as “Ronnie” who after speaking with that person and their family, has no knowledge of the whereabouts of Seely.
Seely left the home of her legal guardian Sunday night and has not been heard from since. It has also been revealed to the police department that Seely has ties to the Arma area in Crawford County and not Alma as was initially believed.
If you have any information on where Seely might be, you’re asked to contact your local law enforcement agency.
Assistant Police Chief Vinson Baker said further updates will be provided as they become available.

(March 4, 2026) — The search continues for a missing 15-year-old Lia Seely.
Yates Center Assistant Police Chief Vinson Baker said Wednesday afternoon contact has been made with Jessie Graninger Jr, who Seely was believed to be with. Seely is not believed to be with him now, and Graninger has made contact with Yates Center Police and is cooperating.
Investigators have determined Lia left the home of her legal guardian about 10 PM Sunday, picked up by persons she knew. About an hour later she was dropped off in Parsons. At this time, her whereabouts are not known but investigators think she is still in the Parsons area with a white male, around her age, and known only as Ronnie.
Lia Seely is a white female, with blonde hair and hazel eyes, with piercings on both sides of her nose. If you have any information on this case, contact local law enforcement as soon as possible.

(March 3, 2026) — Yates Center Police Department has shared new developments in the disappearance of 15-year-old Lia Seely.
Yates Center Assistant Police Chief Vinson Baker said in a late Tuesday afternoon release they believe Seely was picked up by a person identified as Jesse James Graninger Jr. It’s believed Seely went with him willingly but without the permission of her legal guardians.
They are believed to be in the Parsons area, though their whereabouts are unknown at this time. Yates Center and Parsons Police are working together to locate them.
Vinson said at this time they have no information on vehicle or clothing descriptions. Anyone who has information on their whereabouts is asked to contact your local law enforcement agency.
