Hope Unlimited and CASA of 31st Judicial District Awarded State Grants

ALLEN COUNTY, Kan. — Governor Laura Kelly announced Thursday over $32.5 million in state grants to maintain and enhance services for adult and child survivors of crime.

These grants, funded through the State General Fund were awarded to nonprofit organizations providing services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence as well as child abuse and neglect.

Hope Unlimited of Iola was awarded two grants, one in support of domestic violence and sexual assault services ($825,630) and the other for Children’s Advocacy Centers ($134,123), which bring together professionals to investigate and respond to child abuse.

CASA of the 31st Judicial District was awarded $18,953 for their Court Appointed Special Advocate program which provides volunteers to advocate in court for abused and neglected children.
