MORAN, Kan. — No injuries were reported after a car crashed through the front of the Moran Post Office Saturday.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office reports Larry Drake was parking his vehicle in front of the post office when his foot slipped off the brake and onto the gas pedal, which caused his vehicle to jump the curb and strike an interior wall next to the front entrance.

Photos from the scene indicate the brick wall adjoining the door was knocked out, with the frame of a glass window next to the door pushed in.

The post office was closed at the time of the crash, and the office, service counter area and mail were not affected.

Drake, who was wearing his seat belt, was not injured.
