An Altoona man was injured in a single vehicle crash Friday night south of Chanute.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a pickup driven by 78-year-old Mickey Callarman was heading southbound on Ford Road when it crossed the center of the road to the left into the Northbound ditch and crossed back over into the Southbound ditch. Then it crossed the roadway entering the Northbound ditch, striking a tree.
Callarman, who was the only person in the vehicle, was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita with reported serious injuries.
