Tenley Keeton had 29 points and tied a tournament record with 10 steals Friday, leading the Hutchinson girls basketball team to a 70-30 rout of Wichita Northwest in a McPherson Mid America Classic consolation semifinal game.
Keeton also broke the tournament record for most 3-pointers in a game with eight.
The Salthawks got off to a slow start offensively and led just 8-4 after one quarter. The middle quarters, however, were all Salthawks, as they outscored Northwest 51-9.
Danai Morgan added 18 points and 10 rebound for the Salthawks, who improved to 7-6 and will take on Shawnee Mission East on Saturday in the fifth-place game.
