Southeast of Saline Starts Strong in Victory over Trinity Catholic Girls

Southeast of Saline raced out to a quick 31-4 lead after one quarter, and the top-seeded Trojans went on to beat Trinity Catholic 79-28 on Tuesday in the first round of the Sterling Invitational.

It was the most points scored against the Celtics this season.

Trinity had seven different players score, led by Cienna Maskil’s seven points. Allison Moodie set a career-high with five points, all coming in the second half.

Kylah Samuelson led a balanced Trojan attack with 17 points.

The Celtics will play in the 3 p.m. consolation semifinal on Thursday against Smoky Valley, a team Trinity will play again next week.
