Kamryn Ryan scored a season-high 14 points, Kenzley Haxton and Illie De Baere added 10 points apiece, and Smoky Valley downed Trinity Catholic 48-17 on Thursday in the Sterling Invitational consolation semifinals at Sterling High School.
Smoky Valley, which improved to 3-7, had a balanced attack, as nine different players scored. The Vikings led 23-13 at halftime and then outscored the Celtics 25-4 in the second half.
Brecken Dowsey led Trinity Catholic with six points, tying a season best.
The Celtics will play Lyons in the seventh-place game at 3 p.m. Friday at the Sterling High School auxiliary gym, while Smoky Valley will play Kingman in the 3 p.m. fifth-place game at the main high school gym.
