HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Ad Astra Radio is proud to announce this week’s Athlete of the Week as Hutchinson High School senior Tramel Walker.
The week – Walker was something of a utility player on Friday at Valley Center, as the Salthawks beat Valley Center 25-18. Walker was like Johnny Cash, in that he was everywhere (man). He played kick returner, punt returner, safety, corner back, running back, wide receiver and quarterback. He filled in late for the injured Robert Hunter at QB and completed 5 of 5 passes for 61 yards and 2 touchdowns, to go with 13 rushing yards.
The season – Walker is a senior, who has compiled 45 all-purpose yards while being a stalwart in the secondary and on special teams for the 2-0 Salthawks, who host Maize this Friday.
