BUHLER, Kan. — Congratulations to Ad Astra Radio’s Athlete of the Week (11/17-11/23) Quentin Pisano, Buhler High School senior.
The week: Pisano had a sensational all-around game in Buhler’s 28-14 win over Wamego, the top seed in Class 4A West, in the 4A quarterfinals. Offensively, Pisano led Buhler’s passing attack with three catches for 70 yards, and he added one carry for 3 yards. Two of his three catches came on third down that helped set up Buhler touchdowns. Defensively, Pisano had four tackles in helping Buhler hold Wamego to less than 250 yards.
The season: Pisano, a senior, has been Buhler’s top receiving threat this season. He leads Buhler in receptions (15) and receiving yards (238), and Pisano has more than 500 career yards receiving. He also has 38 tackles for the 9-2 Crusaders, who will travel to Andover Central in the 4A semifinals on Friday.
