INMAN, Kan. — Ad Astra Radio is proud to announce this week’s Athlete of the Week as Malachi Brunk, Inman High School junior and Teutons quarterback.
The week – Brunk was at the heart of Inman’s impressive season-opening 24-6 win over Trinity Catholic on Friday in Hutchinson. The quarterback ran 23 times for 106 yards and a touchdown, and he also completed 6 of 9 passes for 102 yards and another touchdown. Defensively, Brunk had five tackles.
The season – Brunk, a junior, is expected to be one of the top players on a dynamic and diverse Inman offense. Coming off a 4-5 season, Brunk has added a year in the weight room, and improved his strength and quickness.
