ANDALE, Kan. — Each week, Ad Astra Radio recognizes different athlete’s outstanding achievements. We are proud to announce Andale High School senior Hayden Grimes as this week’s Athlete of the Week, presented by Hutchinson Community College.
The week – Grimes had two strong performances during Andale’s midweek wins at Wellington. She had 12 kills and a .500 hitting percentage, a 2.3 serve-receive rating and nine digs. Grimes also reached 1,000 career kills.
The season – Grimes is having a monster season for Andale, which ended the week with a 25-1 record and on top of the Class 4A West Substate standings. Grimes leads Andale with 257 kills, and she has a .333 hitting percentage. Grimes also has 21 blocks and 161 digs. Grimes will play collegiately at Colorado State.
