The Lake Garnett Grand Prix Revival has a new look.

The new logo, unveiled Friday, has at its center a vintage racing helmet, a symbol chosen intentionally over checkered flags and race only imagery. Revival President Tracy Modlin said “The helmet is human, period correct and personal,” reflecting the people who built this sport and the fact The Revival isn’t a race – It’s a return.

As the revival of the Grand Prix, which was held at Lake Garnett has grown, so has what it represents. This refreshed identity helps tell the bigger story while honoring the history, community and traditions that the weekend special in the first place.

The new identity was developed in partnership with Omaha-based Leggera Creative, working closely with event leadership to build something designed to serve the Revival for decades to come.

The revival honors the legacy of the road race around Lake Garnett that ran from 1959 to 1972. The 13th annual Lake Garnett Grand Prix Revival will be held October 10-11, with registration opening May 1st. You can learn more at www.lggpr.org.
