HUTCHINSON, Kan. — BrightHouse Support Groups and the Hutchinson Police Department are partnering to host Glow & Know: Community Night on Sunday, September 22. This event will raise awareness about sexual assault and consent while celebrating Carey Park as a welcoming and safe community space for all.
The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in front of the Hutchinson Zoo at 6 Emerson Loop E. Families, students, and residents are invited to enjoy a night filled with fun, connection, and education. All activities are free and include inflatables, yard games, a live DJ, giveaways, and food trucks offering a variety of treats.
The evening will feature a special appearance by Miss Kansas Alexis Smith, who will speak at about 5:30 p.m. Her issue during her reign is Respect Reclaimed – Advocating for Healthy Relationships. There will also be lots of chances to learn about age-appropriate issues involving consent and personal safety.
Glow & Know: Community Night is open to all ages. Everyone is encouraged to join in this important conversation while enjoying a memorable evening.
