Anderson County Community Building
K-State Research and Extension Frontier District, in partnership with the Anderson County Conservation District, will host a prescribed burn school for landowners and producers. The event is scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Anderson County Community Building, located on North Lake Road next to the fairgrounds in Garnett. Meeting materials and lunch will be provided by Evergy.
Participants should register by Saturday, February 7, by contacting Ryan Schaub at 785-448-6826 or [email protected]. The school will cover planning and carrying out safe and effective prescribed burns, including topics such as weather conditions, equipment, safety, burn execution, liability, and regulations.
