Do you want to be a part of the upcoming 200 mile garage sale? Then register for the upcoming 2026 US Hwy 56 Garage Sale which will be held April 23rd through April 26th. You can register for one day, two days or all four days, it’s your choice. The sale runs from Council Grove, Kansas to Kinsley, KS. Larned and Garfield are along this route and it’s the perfect opportunity for you to go through your garage or attic and dig out stuff you want to sell! The Ark and their team in McPherson created this event in 2025 and only did 100 miles. They have now expanded it to 200 miles.
The fee to register your yard sale is $10 and with that you will receive a yard sign and get your name listed on the website and map for your town. They also have advertising opportunities on the site for your business.
Some key items to note: Last year over 3,000 maps were printed and they ran out in many locations during the days of the sales., 71% of businesses who advertised say their business saw higher-than-average sales and traffic , and over 36,000 people viewed the website, with 14,000 unique visitors asking for directions to the sales area.
