Bring your kids out to the Annual Easter Candy Hunt on Saturday, April 4th in Riverside Park in Iola! The event is sponsored by the City of Iola Recreation Dept., Iola Area Chamber of Commerce, Russell Stover Chocolates, Iola Kiwanis Club and the Iola Fire Dept.
From 9:00-10:00 a.m. Russell Stover will have an area where parents may take pictures of kids with the Easter Bunny; and the Kiwanis Club will bring the train for rides.
The candy hunt will begin at 10:00 a.m. when the emergency vehicle sounds the siren. Youth may pick up any candy pieces scattered around the park, and have the opportunity to find one of 24 golden tickets hidden throughout the main park. If a golden ticket is found, return it to a Recreation Dept. employee to receive a prize. Youth 12 years old and younger may participate.
