Women’s Soccer Tigers Fall to Bethel at Home

McPherson, Kan. (CCCTigers.com) – The Central Christian College of Kansas Women’s Soccer team was back in action for their third match of the week. This time against the Bethel College Threshers at home in McPherson.

Bethel would take advantage of the worn down Tigers as they opened the scoring in the 12th minute of the game. The Tigers would try to regain possession to get the offense going but the Threshers were aggressive on both sides of the ball. The Tigers only managed seven shots all game as opposed to the 23 taken by Bethel. The three shots on goal for the Tigers came solely in the first half.  Bethel extended their lead to 4-0 by halftime. The game would settle down until the 82nd minute when Bethel tacked on another goal in the 82nd minute to extend their lead to 5-0. The Threshers would go on to win by this score of 5-0.

The Tigers (2-2), get a break this week as they prepare to play Tabor College on Saturday, September 7th in Hillsboro, Kansas. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00PM.
