HILLSBORO, Kan. (TaborBluejays.com) – Labor Day offered the perfect setting for an exciting day on the pitch as the Lady Bluejays hosted Highland Community College for a matinee performance. The Reserve Bluejays entered the match fresh off a disappointing 0-2 result in Salina against Kansas Wesleyan last week while the Scotties came into the match with a disappointing previous result as well, dropping a 16-0 decision at Barton Community College this past Saturday.

Both squads matched each other well, with Tabor keeper Bailey Bynum and Highland keeper Delaney Wood saving the day for their respective teams on multiple occasions.

The Bluejays had multiple opportunities to gain the advantage, by way of several solid shots from Kayley Hanna and Jasmin Ventura, but Wood was ready and helped the Scotties keep TC off the board.

The squads fought to a 0-0 draw, giving both keepers a clean sheet.

Bluejay Reserve Women’s Soccer is back in action next Thursday as they travel to North Newton to face off with bitter rival Bethel.
