SALINA, Kan. (TaborBluejays.com) – The Lady Jays showcased a strong performance at the Central Plains Invitational, hosted by Kansas Wesleyan University. Leading the way for Tabor was Valencia Andov, who shot 11 over par, securing 5th place out of 53 competitors. Freshmen Natalie Unsworth and Jade Loewen completed the lineup for the Bluejays.
On the men’s side, Tabor finished in 7th place with a team score of 64 over par. Senior Andreas Aho had an impressive tournament, finishing +14. He was closely followed by sophomore standout Will Giger, who also shot +14. Seniors Ty Peterson and Luke Buckingham finished side by side, while fellow seniors Ryan Hill and David Darrah contributed key performances to the team’s effort.
The Bluejays are back in action on October 7th-8th as they compete in Joplin, Mo., at the Twin Hills Country Club hosted by Evangel University.
