LINDSBORG, Kan. (BethanySwedes.com) – The Bethany College Swedes hosted the Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles, Saturday, February 1st in their weekend rematch. The Swedes were coming off a win over York University earlier in the week and were looking to cash in on a second for the week.

Out of the gate, the Swedes looked solid as their offense was slowly gaining traction over the Eagles who were struggling, only shooting 22% from the floor. Bethany took a five-point lead over Oklahoma Wesleyan heading into the second quarter, 15-10. Things picked up and the Eagles managed to go into halftime with the score tied at 31-31. The Swedes came out of the break hot, shooting 50%. Bethany gained a slight advantage going into the fourth quarter with a lead of three, 49-46. Fourth and final quarter proved troublesome for the Eagles who struggled to contain the Swedes’ offense as they had another successful shooting quarter at 53% from field goal range. In the end, the Swedes held on and beat the Eagles, 69-61.
