OTTAWA, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) — The McPherson College Bulldogs traveled to Ottawa, Kan. Wednesday (Feb. 14) but fell 76-58 to the Ottawa University Braves at Wilson Field House.

BOX SCORE

Matisyn Moses led the way with 18 points and ten rebounds for her second double-double of the season. Mikaela Boyd added ten points.

The Bulldogs (6-19, 2-17 KCAC) shot 36.4 percent from the field, and shot 15-for-18 at the free throw line, but 22 turnovers proved to be too much to overcome.

OU used an 8-0 run late in the opening quarter behind threes by Kennedy Bankett and Tiyani Rollins to mount an 18-8 lead with just over two minutes left in the first frame. The Bulldogs stormed back early in the second frame to come back and lead 29-26. The Braves led 35-34 at the break.

The Braves again went on a 9-1 spurt to lead 49-39 midway through the third quarter. MC trimmed that lead to five with ten minutes to play, but from there, Ottawa ballooned its lead to as many as 20 points in the final period to cruise to the win. The Braves outscored MC 24-11 in the fourth quarter.

Three Braves scored in double figures led by Bankett with 23 points and ten rebounds. Katelyn Alatini added 15 points, while Rollins scored 14 points.

The Bulldogs return to the Sport Center Saturday to take on Saint Mary. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
