HAYSVILLE, Kan. – After scoring six runs in the third inning on Wednesday, the Great Bend Batcats were able to defeat the Haysville Aviators 11-4.
Jace Woita led the Batcats with 3 RBI’s, and broke the game open in the third inning, bringing in two runs with a double. Robby Bolin led with 3 hits and an RBI, as 5 Batcats recorded multiple hits. Brett Allen earned the win on the mound, pitching 5 innings, allowing one run on a hit, giving up three walks and striking out 7.
The Batcats move to 3-1 on the season, and they will play the Hutchinson Monarchs on Thursday, at Al Burns Memorial Field in Great Bend for the home opener at 7pm.
