Wheat State League Releases 2026 Basketball Honorees

The Wheat State League released its All-League honorees from the 2025-26 basketball season, recognizing honorees from Little River, Canton-Galva, Elyria Christian, Goessel, and Centre.

Little River swept the Coach of the Year awards, won by boys head coach Erik Base and girls head coach Cy Rolfs. The Little River Boys had Jaren Garrison and Jaxson Konen earn First Team honors. Lincoln Raleigh was named to the Second Team, and Logan Schubert was named an Honorable Mention.

The Little River Girls, who won the 1A-I State Title, had six players earn All-League honors. Arika Feldman, Avery Lafferty, and Havana Olander earned First Team honors. Adelyne Strecker and Evie Look were Second Team honorees, while Saelyn Raleigh was named an Honorable Mention.

Kustom Schamp and Ethan Brozek of Canton-Galva were named Boys First Team All-League. Jaxon Nightingale and Ethan Harrington were Honorable Mentions. The Canton-Galva Girls team had Trinity Espinoza reach First Team honors, while Mia Hoppes and Faith McMannis were Honorable Mentions.

Goessel’s Girls had four players honored: Delaney Duerksen & Mackenzie Voth to the Second Team, and Isabelle Alderfer & Abi Johnson to the Honorable Mention list. Trey Gaddis was the only Goessel Boys honoree, earning an Honorable Mention.

Elyria Christian Boys’ Nate Romero and Greyson Broadus were honored as well, earning Second Team and an Honorable Mention, respectively. Grace Prescott was named a First Team honoree on the Girls list, while Joy Pyle was on the Second Team, and Haven Bower was an Honorable Mention.

Centre had two boys players earn All-League honors. Brady Idleman was on the Second Team, and Noah Brunner was an Honorable Mention. Ryleigh Jones earned an Honorable Mention.
