WICHITA, Kan. — The McPherson College Bulldog volleyball team was selected fourth in the KCAC Preseason poll following the KCAC virtual media day.

The Bulldogs will look to return to the top of the table following a sixth-place finish in 2022.

“We are going to look a lot different than we have in the past,” head coach Cory Cahill said at KCAC virtual media day. “With 19 returners and 19 new players, we have the most depth we have ever had in every position. I am excited about this team from one to 38 on our roster.”

Reigning KCAC regular season champion Ottawa was slated to finish first with 164 points and nine first-place votes. Oklahoma Wesleyan was picked second with 159 points and four first-place tallies, while Kansas Wesleyan slide into the third spot with 132 points and the final first-place vote. Saint Mary rounded out the top five.

The Bulldogs open the season next Saturday (Aug. 19) with a trip to Concordia University in Seward, Neb.
