SOFTBALL – The Inman High School Softball team hosted the 2-1A Regional Softball tournament, concluding Tuesday, May 20 with a championship victory against Bennington 8-1 to advance to the State Tournament.

Inman entered the tournament as the No. 2 seed in the eight-team bracket. They defeated Ell-Saline 15-0 in the Regional Quarterfinal round at home to clinch the Regional Semifinal Tuesday. They defeated No. 6 Salina-Sacred Heart 13-2 in run-rule fashion to start off the day, setting them up against the No. 1 seed Bennington, who just defeated Sterling 17-3. Inman was the represented road team because of their lower seed despite being at home. However, they took care of business defeating Bennington 8-1, taking them to the State Tournament.

Lyla Levin threw the full game allowing just the lone run and striking out seven batters. The offense had 14 hits to aid them in the win.
