Teuton Sports Roundup: Baseball, Softball, Boys Golf, and Track & Field Start Seasons Strong

INMAN, Kan. – This Inman High School Sports Roundup will feature Baseball, Softball, Boys Golf, and Track & Field as all of their spring sports have started their 2025 season on a strong note.


BASEBALL

The Inman Varsity Baseball team started the season 0-2 following losses to Little River. Following that setback, they have won six of their last eight games.

More recently, the Teutons swept Canton-Galva/Elyria Christian Tuesday, April 8 winning both games 10-0. The team had 17 combined hits and capitalized on 11 combined errors.

The team then faced Moundridge at home, but split against the Wildcats winning 13-1 in game one but falling 13-7 in game two. The Teutons hit strong in both games, but had 13 errors in game two according to GameChanger.

The varsity team is currently 6-4 on the season. They will travel to Ell-Salina Tuesday, April 15.


SOFTBALL

The Inman Varsity Softball team is undefeated on the season to start off. The team has been stellar on both offense and defense, outscoring their opponents 77-5 in the first six games.

The season started March 28 with a doubleheader sweep against Little River. Following that, they had a home doubleheader against Canton-Galva Tuesday, April 8, winning 24-0 in game one and 15-0 in game two. Afterwards, they returned home Friday, April 11 for a doubleheader sweep against Moundridge. They won game one 11-0 and game two 18-4.

The team is 6-0 and will travel to face Ell-Saline Tuesday, April 15.


BOYS GOLF

The Inman Boys Golf team started their season last week, starting with a varsity invite at Nickerson on April 7 and a JV at Herington April 10.

The Varsity team finished 12th at the Nickerson Invite at the Crazy Horse Sports Club in Hutchinson. Creighton Fries led the Teutons with 108, followed by Keetan McEuen at 111, Braden Stutzman with 117, Brett Jerrick with 118, and Paul Funk at 128.

The JV team competed at Herington, playing nine holes in groups of two at the Herington Country Club. The duo of Braeden Stutzman and Bo O’Neill finished in 1st with 37. Karson Schierling & Wyatt Jonas finished in 6th with 43.

The Varsity team continued on Monday, April 14 at the Central Christian Invite at Carey Park in Hutchinson. The team went up against a tough competition, finishing in 14th place in the invite. Creighton Fries led again with 98, Keetan McEuan had 108, Paul Funk shot 134, and Devin Penner finished with 137.

The Inman Track & Field teams traveled to Moundridge Tuesday, April 8 for the Moundridge CKTL Meet.
