WICHITA, Kan. (KCACSports.com) — Tabor College earned the top spot in both the 2024 KCAC Women’s Basketball Preseason Coaches’ and Media Poll, the conference office announced Tuesday. The Bluejays took home both the regular-season and tournament championship titles in the 2023-24 season.
In the coaches’ poll, the Bluejays took home the No. 1 ranking with 166 total points, and 10 of 14 first place votes. No. 2 and No. 3 in the preseason poll were separated by two points: Friends University at No. 2 (146 total points; three first-place votes) and the University of Saint Mary at No. 3 (144 total points; one first-place vote). Rounding out the top five in the preseason coaches’ poll were Evangel at No. 4 (139 total points) and Kansas Wesleyan at No. 5 (122 total points).

In the preseason media poll, Tabor earned the No. 1 ranking behind 207 total points and 12 of 15 first-place votes. There was a tie at No. 2, with Friends and Saint Mary both earning 179 total points and each team receiving one first-place vote. Rounding out the Top five were Kansas Wesleyan University at No. 4 (162 total points) and Evangel University (154 total points). Sterling College, ranked No. 6, received the final first-place vote.
