Wichita, Kan. (SCWarriors.com) – Pedro Felipoff and Louis Boisdenghien had a lot to do with a big turnaround from last season’s Sterling College men’s tennis team. The team went from 6-10 last season to 9-7 this season with a KCAC postseason birth after finishing fourth overall during the conference season.
Felipoff played No. 1 singles all season and finished with a 9-6 singles record. He finished with a Second Team All-KCAC selection. One of those victories came on a tiebreak victory over Friends that took every point in the third set to determine the winner. Felipoff, All-KCAC Honorable Mention, played No. 2 doubles with our other honoree, Louis Boisdenghien. As a duo, these two were 8-6 playing in the No. 2 spot, and played one match in the No. 1 position and finished with a win. Boisdenghien had an impressive season as well going 8-6 in No. 3 singles and 1-0 in his lone opportunity at No. 2 singles.
Sterling College has been much better with these two in the lineup. With the successes of this season, there is much to look forward to in the years to come. These two have helped to put Sterling College men’s tennis back on the map.
