WICHITA, Kan. (SCWarriors.com) – Korynn Clason of Sterling College and Taylor Jackson of Friends University have earned the KCAC Women’s Basketball Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Nov. 4-10 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.

Clason had an excellent week that culminated in a 30-point performance against Graceland. Her points came mainly from mid-range jump shots as she carried her team to a 2-0 week.

Defensive Player of the Week
Taylor Jackson – Friends University

Jackson anchored the Friends University Falcons’ defensive effort with averages of seven defensive rebounds per game and 2.5 blocks per game. Jackson’s best defensive effort came in a one-point loss at Texas Wesleyan University, as the Falcons’ modern-era blocks leader swatted five shots and pulled down 10 defensive boards. Jackson is tops in the KCAC in both defensive rebounds per game (5.8) and blocks (2.2) this season.
