STERLING, Kan. (SCWarriors.com) – Sterling College was named a 2024-25 Champions of Character Five-Star Gold Institution.
The NAIA measures institutions on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and each school earns points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion. Points are also earned based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the season.
The KCAC was also awarded the 2024-25 Five-Star Conference Award, with 13 of the 14 conference schools being named Five-Star schools with 10 of the schools awarded the gold standard.
To earn the award the conference must have an established Champions of Character Conference Committee, a conduct in competition oversight committee composed of a minimum of three members and at least 60% of member institutions must receive the NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Institution Award.
