Several Kansas high school athletes signed national letters of intent to continue their athletic careers and further their educational opportunities at two- and four-year levels.
• Sterling High School senior quarterback/linebacker Logan Isaac signed to play football at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, Wednesday.
• Little River High School seniors Evie Look and Chris Norez signed their national letters of intent Thursday to continue their athletic and educational careers. Look will play volleyball at Labette Community College in Parsons. Norez will throw the javelin at Butler Community College in El Dorado.
• Great Bend High School senior tight end/wide receiver/linebacker Ian Premer officially signed with the Notre Dame football team Wednesday morning.
• Pratt High School senior tight end Arley Morrell officially signed to play football at Iowa State University on Wednesday.
• The University of Kansas football team signed five Sunflower State recruits on Wednesday: Maize South’s Brody Epke and Hunter Higgins, Lawrence’s Joshua Galbreath, Wichita Northwest’s Jaylen Mason and Shawnee Heights’ Tyren Parker.
• Former Shawnee Mission Bishop Miege High School football standout Justyce Betts, a Butler Community College redshirt freshman linebacker, signed with Western Michigan.
• Mill Valley’s Lamarcus Barber signed with the Kansas State University football program on Wednesday. The 6-foot-3, 310-pound offensive lineman is mobile and physical. He is part of a pipeline of offensive linemen from Mill Valley to Kansas State that includes Sam Hecht and Gus Hawkins.
• The University of South Dakota signed Hillsboro’s Jesiah Gooch and Wichita Northwest standout offensive linemen Dustin Cochran and Deongelo Williams.
