The season ended for the Larned High School girls basketball team with a 61-48 loss to Beloit Wednesday night at Beloit in the Kansas Class 3A Larned sub-state 2 semifinals.
In the other Class 3A Larned sub-state 2 semifinal game, Ellsworth defeated Lakin 48-42.
Ellsworth (16-6) will play Beloit (18-4) for the Class 3A Larned sub-state 1 championship.
In the Class 3A Larned sub-state 1 semifinals, Holcomb defeated Colby 51-34 and Goodland defeated Southwestern Heights 52-20.
Holcomb (23-2) will play Goodland (19-6) in the Class 3A Larned sub-state 2 championship game Saturday.
Larned posted a 17-7 record, Lakin went 18-5, Southwestern Heights 18-7 and Colby 13-11.
