Offensive Player of the Week

Karsen Schultz – #21 Sterling College

5-10 | Sr. | G | Alma, Kan.

Schultz had another great week for Sterling in a week that included a 22-point performance against Oklahoma Wesleyan. She finished the week averaging 17.0 PPG, just shy of her conference-leading 17.1 PPG on the season. Even with all of her scoring this last week, she led the team with 4.5 APG as well. This is the fourth time this season Schultz has earned the KCAC Women’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week honor.

Defensive Player of the Week

LaMyah Ricks – Kansas Wesleyan University

5-4 | Jr. | G | Shawnee Misson, Kan.

Ricks did a great job on defense during the week, as the Coyotes went 2-0. She averaged 2.5 steals, but more importantly played stellar defense in both games, holding Tabor’s guards to limited chances and disrupting play all over the place. She had three steals in the game against the Bluejays. She was also a huge component of KWU’s big win over York, as the Coyotes held the Panthers to their lowest point total of the season.
