WICHITA, Kan. – The McPherson High School Track & Field team wrapped up the 2025 season at the State Track & Field Meet in Wichita May 30-31. The team took home an individual state title, a new school record, multiple personal records, and multiple medals.
Caleb Muehler had a strong State performance, taking home the individual state title in the 3200M Run and medaling in the 1600M Run, the 800M Run, and the 4x800M Relay. Ethan Elder also mounted the podium in two events, as he performed strong in the 3200M Run, 1600M Run, and 800M Run. Muehler & Elder, along with Tripp Pelzel and Kayden Friesen, set the school record in the 4x800M Relay with a time of 7:56.21, placing 2nd in the event.
Ellie Herrera had a strong showing in the High Jump, finishing 2nd with a mark of 5-6. Arihanna Koehn finished her last meet with a spot on the podium in the 100M Hurdles after placing 7th. Karsen Burris also found herself on the podium after her 4th place finish in the Javelin, which broke a personal record.
