The Hutchinson High volleyball team saw its 10-match winning streak end on Saturday at a rugged tournament at Maize.
The Salthawks lost all four matches, but they competed well in all of them. They opened with a 25-19, 26-24 loss to Goddard-Eisenhower, before dropping a three-set match to Valley Center, 25-16, 20-25, 25-18.
Next, Hutchinson fell to a strong Kapaun Mount Carmel team 25-21, 25-10, and the Salthawks ended the day with a three-set loss to Newton, 25-19, 21-25, 26-24.
The Salthawks are now 10-6, and on Thursday, will host a triangular with Goddard and Great Bend.
