SHARE NOW

The Hutchinson High boys soccer team had its best defensive performance of the season Tuesday, holding a strong Eisenhower attack to one goal, and the Salthawks snapped a four-game winless streak with a 3-1 win at the Salthawk Sports Complex.

Every game the Salthawks have played this year has featured at least four goals, but this was the first time they’ve allowed fewer than two goals.

Jair Maciel led the Salthawks with a goal and an assist.

The Salthawks led 3-0 before allowing a late goal.

Hutchinson is now 2-4-1 and will take the rest of the week off before playing host to Buhler at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
