The varsity and junior varsity games were played at Newton Fischer Field Stadium.

Galyon scored the next two goals on assists from seniors Brecken Edwards and Perla Pena.
“We took a 3-0 lead into halftime,” said Hutchinson assistant girls soccer coach Cidy Vargas. “Although we controlled the game throughout, we took our foot off the gas in the second half and let the Railers back into the game as they converted a couple of set pieces to put a little pressure on us towards the end of the game. We will take the 4-3 road win. I’m especially happy with how we played to start the game.”
The Hutchinson junior varsity girls soccer team tied the Newton Railers JV team 1-1.
