HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson High boys basketball team went chilly with its offense in the second half on Tuesday, as the Salthawks managed just 19 points in the final 16 minutes, and fell to Maize South 54-43 at the Salthawk Activity Center.
Maize South also used free-throw shooting to aid its win, making 16 of 22, compared to 6 of 9 for Hutchinson.
Three Salthawks scored in double figures, with Danny Boone and Larry Jeremiah scored 11 apiece. Lamar Govain added 10 points for the Salthawks, who fall to 2-5. They will host Salina South on Friday.
