Danai Morgan scored 17 points, and Ava Krone added 14 points, and the Hutchinson High girls took down Valley Center 49-32 on Tuesday.
The Salthawks led 30-24 at halftime, but then they dominated the second half, holding Valley Center to seven second-half points.
The Salthawks improve to 5-4 and will next head to Great Bend on Friday.
Hutchinson boys 59, Valley Center 56 – The Salthawks snapped a two-game skid with an AVCTL Division 1 road win. It was Hutchinson’s third win in five games, and the Salthawks improve to 3-6 going to Great Bend.
