WINFIELD, Kan. – McPherson High School Volleyball’s Ava Romero recorded her 1000th career dig as the Bullpups swept both of their matches in Winfield.
The Bullpups defeated Clearwater in two sets (25-18, 25-13) and swept the home school in two sets as well (25-10, 25-16).
During the pair of matches, Ava Romero recorded her 1000th career dig. She finished with 12 digs overall on the day (3.0/set), adding 16 kills (4.0/set) and five service aces.
Brooke Doile led the team with 17 kills (4.3/set), 21 digs (5.3/set), and two blocks. Rylie Whitfield led the assists category with 45 (11.3/set).
McPherson is now 18-4 on the season. They will head to Chanute on Saturday, Oct. 4 for an invitational tournament.
