Rodriguez Grabs KCAC Setter of the Week Nod

WICHITA, Kan. — Senior setter Cynarah Rodriguez has been named KCAC Setter of the Week Monday (Oct. 23), after helping the Bulldogs to a 2-0 record that included an upset win over No. 21-ranked Ottawa. This marks the second time this season that Rodriguez has been name KCAC Setter of the Week.

“I’m proud of Cyn and her perseverance in coming back from injury,” head coach Cory Cahill said. “It’s been a season filled with adversity for us and Cyn has remained a rock for our team.”

The Amarillo, Texas native finished with 11.38 assists per set this week, and had a season-high 56 assists in the five-set thriller over Ottawa. Additionally, she also had 35 assists to help power the Bulldogs to a 3-0 sweep over York earlier in the week.

Thanks to her big week, Rodriguez now ranks third in the KCAC with 8.93 assists per set.
