Starting with the 2025-26 season, the Reno County Sabres homeschool basketball teams will be affiliated with the Kansas Christian Basketball Association.

The announcement was made Thursday on the Sabres’ Facebook page.

“All of our teams will be competing as a part of the KCBA this upcoming basketball season — exciting things ahead,” said the Sabres on Facebook.

KCBA registration now includes 44 teams across eight divisions from 13 organizations.

“This is exciting growth from last year when we held just two divisions with 14 teams,” said the KBCA. “We are really excited for how the KCBA is growing and look forward to having everyone join us in Salina in 2026 (at the KCBA state tournament).

“If your team intended to join this year but has not yet completed registration, contact us immediately at [email protected]. Good luck to all of our teams as they prepare for the upcoming basketball season.”

The KCBA State Championships will take place Feb. 26-28, 2026, in Salina.

The Reno County Sabres boys team and girls team placed second at the 2025 tournament.
