Piper Fox, a Scott Community High School (Scott City) girls basketball standout, has signed a letter of intent to play NAIA-level women’s basketball at Tabor College in Hillsboro.
Fox was named honorable mention on the Garden City Clarion Roundball Classic Girls All-Tournament Team.
• Former Blue Valley Southwest quarterback Dylan Dunn has picked up an offer from FCS North Alabama.
The record-breaking Timberwolves’ quarterback started his career at BYU before transferring to Butler Community College where he played in four games and completed 17 of 31 passes for 223 yards with three touchdowns and one interception before taking a medical redshirt.
Recruiting Dunn at North Alabama is former Washburn University head coach Craig Schurig, the North Alabama quarterback coach. Dunn is the son of former Kansas State quarterback Marc Dunn.
• Former Wichita Heights High School track standout Elijah Mosley will compete for Virginia Tech this season after competing collegiately for Texas in the 2024 and 2025 seasons and at Barton Community College from 2022-2023.
Mosley, a sprinter, specializes in the 400 meters through 800. He owns personal-bests of 20.56 in the 200, 45.61 in the 400, 1:02.50 in the 500, 1:17.22 in the 600 and 1:50.01 in the 800.
Mosley finished third overall at the 2024 Big 12 Indoor and Outdoor Championships as a member of the 4×400-meter relay team.
He earned First Team All-American honors in 2024 as a member of the 4×400-meter relay team that went 3:01.41 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Mosley was a nine-time NJCAA All-American and was the NJCAA Outdoor National Champion in the 400 in 2022 (47.22).
• After a season at Butler Community College, Free State alumnus Hyrum Vaeonoo has NCAA Division I offers to play defensive line from the following schools: Hawaii, Missouri State, U-Mass, Middle Tennessee, North Alabama, North Carolina Central, Eastern Kentucky and Western Kentucky.
