WICHITA, Kan. – The McPherson Pipeliners returned to action on Sunday, where they traveled to take on the Dirtbag Baseball Club.
The Pipeliners would get a strong performance on the mound from Cooper Lovelace, pitching four innings allowing three runs. “We had a strong outing from Lovelace, but we were just very flat on defense.” said Head Coach Ryan Child, who anticipates his team bouncing back on Tuesday, following the 10-2 loss.
Noah Ochoa led the Pipeliners, going 1 for 3 at the plate, with a double and a walk, as stiff pitching kept McPherson off the basepaths most of the night.
They will return to action Tuesday, as they’re set to host the Valley Center Mud Daubers at Light Capital. First pitch is set for 7 o clock.
