OKWU Volleyball Named KCAC Tournament Champions

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (OKWUEagles.com) – #25 volleyball team was on the road for the KCAC Tournament Championship on November 11th, set to face off against the #2 seeded Kansas Wesleyan University Lady Coyotes. Sweeping the Lady Coyotes in the regular season, the Lady Eagles looked to defeat them once again and make history for the 4th time this year.

Starting off on absolute fire, the Lady Eagles went on to win the first set of the match 25-9. Hitting an outstanding .571% in the first set, enabled the Lady Eagles to find momentum moving forward. With a 1-0 set lead, the Lady Eagles found themselves found themselves in a quick hole as the Lady Coyotes came out and outscored them 25-20. With the game tied 1-1 in sets, the Lady Eagles needed to make a quick turn-around and win the next set.

Doing just that, the Lady Eagles found themselves back in a grove, hitting .406 and working their way to a 25-14 win in set three. Looking to cap the game in one more set, the Lady Eagles rallied together and outscored the Lady Coyotes 25-21 in set four.

With this win, the Lady Eagles were named the KCAC Tournament Champions for the first time in program history.
