Hutchinson CC Sports Information
The Hutchinson Community College men’s golf team dropped two spots this week in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek NJCAA Division I Rankings released on Friday.
Both Odessa and Indian Hills jumped past the Blue Dragons after performances at the Grier Jones Shocker Classic last weekend at Sand Creek Station.
The Blue Dragons finished tied for 12th at WSU. No. 1 Midland, No. 2 Odessa and No. 4 Indian Hills all finished higher than the Blue Dragons at the Shocker Invitational.
The Blue Dragons have been ranked No. 2, No. 3 and now No. 5 in the national rankings this season.
Garden City jumped into the Top 10 this week at No. 8. Central District rival Iowa Western is receiving votes this week.
The Blue Dragons have two more fall tournaments this season. They will be at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational hosted by West Texas A&M on Monday and Tuesday at the Amarillo Country Club in Amarillo, Texas. The Dragons then play again at Sand Creek Station on October 30 and 31 for the NJCAA National Preview.
