Nickerson High School’s Brooklyn Schneider placed first at 130 pounds and was named the Most Outstanding Female Wrestler at the Nickerson Girls Invitational Friday.
Teammate Elizabeth Dick won the 235-pound weight class. Buhler’s Maliyah Jackson placed first at 145 pounds and Halstead’s Ashlee Ledford placed first at 170 pounds.
Smoky Valley won the team title, followed by Wichita Bishop Carroll in second place and Stockton in third place.
First-place winners for the Smoky Valley Vikings were Gracie Brady, 125 pounds; Roxana Riedel, 135 pounds; and Magdalene Riedel, 140 pounds.
