Nickerson Celebrates Homecoming with First Win of the Season

The Nickerson Panthers celebrated Homecoming Night by getting their first victory of the 2025 season.

Nickerson, now 1-5, defeated the Lyons Lions 35-14 Friday night at Detter Stadium in Nickerson. Lyons now is 0-6.

Nickerson’s Rylan Morell rushed for 292 yards on 24 carries and scored four touchdowns. Morrell now has 618 yards rushing with 5 TDs this season.

Kristopher Monroe Jr. ran for 79 yards on 6 carries and added a TD run. He was 0-for-3 passing. He has passed 292 yards (2 TDs, 6 interceptions) and rushed for 248 yards (3 TDs) this season.

Dalton Wakefield-Baker added 44 yards rushing and Connor White 21.

Nickerson crowned Jacqueline Cross as its Fall Homecoming Queen and Josh Voeller as the Homecoming King.

Nickerson plays at Smoky Valley in Lindsborg next Friday.

Smoky Valley lost to Andale 68-0 Friday night.
